The Android Dev Summit (ADS) 2022 brought developers together for an eagerly awaited hybrid event. ADS had three product tracks: Modern Android Development, Form Factors, and Platform. The Platform Track, being the final event, allowed the client to address previous pain points and collaborate closely with our team.
During the live streaming, we encountered a significant technical challenge. Google Slide unexpectedly went offline due to an internal bug test week. The momentary panic subsided as the slide deck came back online, much to everyone’s relief. Virtual attendees sent encouraging live chat messages like “I feel for her!” and “She is managing it great!” It demonstrated the unity of the Android developer community. The incident served as a reminder of the importance of backups, even in the age of cloud computing.
