The final quarter of 2024 was a whirlwind of video production, primarily focused on a new YouTube series for Google Cloud. This series aims to empower developers by exploring and learning AI models and applications.
I was responsible for producing half of the episodes and overseeing four other producers. My presenters are based in Sunnyvale and Seattle, while the other producers managed speakers based in New York, Austin, London, and India respectively.
Launching a new YouTube series involves creating new design assets and adhering to the style guide. Ensuring consistency across multiple producers, designers, and video editors is no small feat. Not to mention that each speaker has a different level of experience in video making process. A significant part of our role was guiding new speakers through the process to ease their concerns, ensuring they felt supported rather than overwhelmed.
The end-of-year timeline added its own challenges, with the holiday season making it tricky to get hold of stakeholders. Nonetheless, we wrapped up the project on schedule, and I’m eagerly anticipating how all 15 videos will perform in the weeks ahead.
