What a rewarding experience to work on this developers conference for Client A through Agency D! I was fortunate to be on this project for seven years in a row. What made a big difference this year was my crew. I was able to hire seasoned professionals who quickly learned the workflow and precisely edited/QC’ed 120 session videos in five days.
My client was awesome as usual. They provided us the best work environment you can imagine, including installing screaming-fast network switches. My editors did not have a chance to take a coffee break while the footage was being downloaded.
Proximity also helped. I slept an extra hour by staying at the hotel next to San Jose Convention Center, which was much needed when you work for 17 hours a day.
Lastly, hot catering food made everyone happy. Now that we are spoiled, it will be hard to go back to cold sandwiches at Moscone.
